We've got more than a little Homer Simpson in us since we think nothing could be more fun than spending a night in brewery.

The bad news: we're not talking in the brewery but on the grounds. The good news: they don't brew Duff. And the adjacent brewery is St. Bernardus, which makes some excellent Abbey ales.

Park your bags at Het Brouwershuis, a lovely, low-key bed and breakfast in Flanders (not Ned, Belgium) where a few steps takes you not only to the brewery, but a tasting bar and beer mart.

Before you hit the suds, you can take a bike ride through the countryside—it's lovely. If you've got a car, head to the village of Baarle and try to figure it out. It's on the Dutch/Belgian border and they've got two of everything there: two mayors, two town halls, two post offices and so on. Which sounds more like Monty Python than the Simpsons.
